Firefighter’s Public House: Reviews about our food

Firefighter’s Public House boasts the hearty, warm feeling that our food brings. Offering a wide selection of homemade delicacies of burger, fries, and other meals, we want customers to feel at home and enjoy a delicious meal with family and friends.

The restaurant started as a place where active and retired firefighters came to enjoy a hearty meal, catch up with friends and enjoy each other’s company. What started as a private gathering now became one of the best restaurants and bars where families can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner and a drink or two.

With this, one won’t think twice that their claim of making customers feel at home is true. Here are the dishes we tried and tested in our last visit:

On the appetizers: Lillian T.

We’ve tried their House Nachos and needless to say, we were not disappointed. I can’t get over the combination of the taste their nachos have. Their House Nachos made the meat the star of the show. They then add melted cheese and some garlic mayo to add to the taste.

Firefighter’s Public House also serves their nachos with some garlic ranch and barbecue sauce for dipping but to be honest, it really doesn’t need one. It’s that good.

On the main contender: Joel E.

What we got is the Chicken Chipotle wrap and boy, we weren’t disappointed. The chicken on the wrap is grilled to perfection. Mostly, the chicken strips used in wraps are dry or bland but the ones in Firefighter’s Public House is neither.

It’s juicy, soft, and the taste really hits all the right buttons. Added with the slightly spicy chipotle sauce, it’s definitely a great dish. For this dish, it’s 4.5/5 stars! While it’s really delicious, we think that they should be more generous with the sauce as it really heightens the flavour.

We, of course, made room for dessert and while Firefighter’s Public House only has one, it didn’t disappoint. We had a slice of their apple pie and as the vanilla ice cream on top slowly melted, the pie in our mouths tickled our taste buds.

The apples are crispy and sweet and the crust is crunchy and has a slight cinnamon taste. Adding to the deliciousness of the pie is the vanilla ice cream. For their delicious apple pie, a perfect 5 stars as it really satisfies your sweet tooth cravings.

On the drinks: Mackenzie H.

They have a great selection of delicious craft beer with a choice of light ones or those with more alcohol content and even unique tastes that you won’t find anywhere else.

All in all, I can say that Firefighter’s Public house really delivers on their promise to make customers feel relaxed and at home. I’ll definitely miss their House Nachos and those tasty, refreshing craft beers, and will definitely be back sooner than later.
